An experienced field-to-finish geomatics specialist, Keith joined DGGS in 2021. Having served in the U.S. Air Force as an engineering craftsman and worked in the private sector as a surveying and mapping technician, Keith has developed a unique skillset ranging from remote field work to geoprocessing automation. At DGGS he works in the Coastal Hazards Program, delivering accurate and timely erosion and flood impact data for Alaska's remote villages. Keith is interested in coastal mapping, geospatial automation, and online data delivery for hazard mitigation, community planning, and relocation strategies. Keith uses a variety of tools including remote sensing, GNSS surveying, geoprocessing software, and community-based monitoring to assist with the State's understanding of coastal hazards.
